Terms of Use

Last updated: May 28, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Awda mobile application (the “Service”) provided by Awda (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Awda you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.

Your Account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

Subscriptions and Payments

Awda offers optional paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions billed by the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the selected plan.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it

Prayer Times and Religious Content

Awda provides prayer times and reminders based on calculation methods and your device location. Times are approximations and may vary by method, jurisdiction, and local conditions. The Service is a helpful aid, not a substitute for the guidance of qualified scholars or your local mosque. Use your own judgement and consult trusted sources where accuracy is critical.

App Blocking and Screen Time

The Service uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls APIs to help you pause selected apps during prayer windows. You are in control of which apps to include, and you may turn off blocking at any time. Effectiveness depends on device permissions and operating system behavior outside our control.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including all text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Awda or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

User Content

Anything you record in the Service — prayer history, journal entries, notes — belongs to you. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to store, sync, and display that content to you within the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Awda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, prayers tracked, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to where Awda is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
